The vast majority of our visitors want to visit the incredible Benedictine monastery of Montserrat and also get to know the wines of the region by visiting a CAVA winery (cava is our high quality sparkling wine, the Catalan version of champagne). Doing both on your own on the same day would be very tricky as there isn’t any public transportation connecting them directly. That’s why we designed the MONTSERRAT & CAVA CELLAR tour to take you first to Montserrat and then to a CAVA winery. Arriving early to Montserrat enables you to enjoy the silence and the magic of the spot: the monastery and the mountain are so serene! For this reason we suggest leaving Barcelona at 7.30 am or 8.00 am. During the visit to this magical place your personal guide will surprise you with the amazing history and make you feel the essence of the sight. After the panoramic drive all around Montserrat we will reach the valley where the wine and cava cellars are located. You will visit one of the most prestigious wineries of the region and at the end of the tour of course you will taste this delicious drink with some traditional appetizers. The Montserrat and cava cellar tour ends at 3.00 pm in Barcelona and does not include lunch. If you prefer we can drop you off at a restaurant in Barcelona instead the hotel.
